    Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

    Adam's Analysis:

The prevailing sentiment is that the Jets are better with Davante Adams, and Mike Tomlin is crazy moving to Russell Wilson leading the Steelers. Both may be true. Also true is that WR was not a problem in New York, and Tomlin didn’t flip a coin; he had six games to watch Justin Fields struggle despite the 4-2 record. Wilson should move the Steelers more smoothly, even if he’s shaking off rust and under duress. Aaron Rodgers, who will similarly be under constant pressure, has 3 TD and 4 INT in three losses against the best defenses. Pittsburgh also has a special teams edge … yet the line has shifted FOUR points with Pittsburgh a full FG ‘dog at home in primetime? Risk worth taking.

    Jason's Analysis:

Russell Wilson is a small guy who doesn't want to activate his legs anymore. Justin Fields was a drive-finisher for Mike Tomlin and running the ball is the way to beat Jets D. Goal to go, we should see Fields. Had 2 rushing TDs in 2 of the last 3 games. Wilson is gonna be rusty and been out a long time. I'm playing this hunch.

    Jason's Analysis:

I don't love the Steelers overthinking their QB situation, but I do believe Justin Fields will play some option football for them and maybe even finish a drive or two on the ground. Jets have to play real winning football not just make fantasy football-type transactions. Running the ball more makes more sense than passing, but with Davante Adams in prime time, the QB will show off. Mike Tomlin is 17-6-3 ATS as a home dog (11-4-1 since 2018), Steelers +38 PD was top 2 in AFC through 6 weeks, Steelers 7-2 ATS last 9 in prime time, where Jets falter. Give me the field goal. Steelers have the better kicker, too.

    Jimmie's Analysis:

This pick comes down to one thing for me: Russell Wilson. Pittsburgh is starting its third-string center and Wilson doesn't move nearly as well as he used to. Davante Adams should add another dimension to the Jets' offense, and I like the Gang Green to go into Pittsburgh and win by a field goal.

    Jimmie's Analysis:

I've never been more disinterested in a Russell Wilson vs. Aaron Rodgers primetime matchup. Both of these teams are paced by upper-echelon defenses, and their offenses have been wildly inconsistent. Wilson is making his first appearance of the season and I expect some rust.

    Larry's Analysis:

Jaylen Warren wasn't on the injury report this week, and he's the better receiving back in Pittsburgh. He could conceivably clear this prop total in one catch. Warren also should benefit from Russell Wilson starting, as Wilson has become a conservative, checkdown king late in his career.

    Daniel's Analysis:

The Jets new-look offense under Todd Downing had success, and I expect them to build on that in this game. Most bettors will be targeting Jets new addition WR Davante Adams, or perhaps Garrett Wilson. For that reason, Aaron Rodgers’ longtime reliable target Allen Lazard has a low receiving yards total of just 27.5. Lazard has gone over this total in 5/6 games, and has been a regular target for Rodgers while this offense has worked through its early struggles. I expect Lazard to get enough target share to clear this total, even with Davante Adams in the mix.

    Micah's Analysis:

The Jets have lost their last three games to three pretty good defenses. But their defense has maintained the No. 2 status in the NFL, allowing only 273 yards per game. They're also No. 2 against the pass. This game moved three points from Pittsburgh being favored based on Russell Wilson starting. Who knows how good he'll be, but we’ll see Justin Fields at some point. This is a good spot for the Jets to win.

    Sia's Analysis:

The Jets are by no means a complete team, but with Davante Adams active, it'll be tough for the Steelers defense to cover everyone. The rapport between Rodgers and Adams should be there and he has his regular reinforcements with Wilson, Hall and Lazard. The unknown of Russell Wilson is intriguing in this game, but Russ hasn't cooked in a few years now, and I'm not sure this is the matchup for him to suddenly find success. Look for both of these teams to regress to the mean and that means a win for the Jets.

    Bruce's Analysis:

It appears as if there's a good chance that Russell Wilson makes his debut in the starting lineup for the Steelers on Sunday night. If not, Justin Fields is at the ready after winning four of six starts. No matter, the QB, the Steelers seem to be able to do more things to win games than the Jets, especially as Mike Tomlin's defense constantly rises to the occasion. The Jets showed some spark in their first game post-Robert Saleh on Monday vs. the Bills, but in the end interim Jeff Ulbrich was no better able to extract a win. Sunday marks the Davante Adams Jets debut, reuniting with old connection Rodgers, but he could have picked an easier defense to debut against!. Play Steelers

    Larry's Analysis:

Davante Adams hasn't played in nearly a month. Yes he will be a big factor for the Jets eventually, particularly in the red zone, but in his debut I expect Garrett Wilson to maintain alpha status. Wilson has caught 21 passes the past two weeks and has cleared this prop total in five of six games this season. The Jets are facing a Steelers defense that gives up just 3.6 yards per carry. Look for Wilson to make at least five catches.

    Daniel's Analysis:

If you can shake off the PTSD from losing on Jets +2.5 last week in painful fashion, they are worth a bet this week. The Steelers have overachieved. Despite finding success with QB Justin Fields, they will switch to Russell Wilson. As the classic football proverb states, "If you have two quarterbacks, you have no quarterbacks." I don't understand the decision, nor do I think it will prove useful. The Steelers should look to go run heavy, but Fields offered QB rushing upside that an older Wilson no longer does. Add offensive line injuries into that mix, and I think Pittsburgh's offense struggles here. The Jets addition of star WR Davante Adams should give their new-look offense another boost. Jets fly in this one.

    Josh's Analysis:

The Jets didn't need to add Davante Adams, but he is a big playmaker who should make longtime running mate Aaron Rodgers more comfortable. The Steelers will likely regret their puzzling change to Russell Wilson at quarterback. The veteran will make more plays in the passing game but will be a statue for opposing defensive units, including that of the Jets.

    Matt's Analysis:

I believe Aaron Rodgers is the most overrated NFL player this century. Truly. What has he done? Won as many NFC title games as Rex Grossman. And yet he gets this star-starved franchise to just capitulate to him. He is Uncle Rico but on a bigger scale. I hope the Steelers, who are the opposite of the Jets in terms of stability, just trash the Gang Green. But I also believe Rodgers' arrogance will at least mean an end zone toss or two to Davante.

    R.J.'s Analysis:

There are big offensive changes of note on both sides, with Davante Adams and Russell Wilson set to feature. The closest Pittsburgh has come to facing an offensive with multiple receiver threats was giving up 195 yards to Michael Pittman and Josh Downs. If Alex Highsmith can return, maybe Pittsburgh generates enough pass rush to disturb Aaron Rodgers and keep this one close. I'm more pessimistic about the change on the other side, as Russell Wilson gives Pittsburgh a less-mobile QB behind a third-string center who should negatively affect the run game. He hasn't shown he's enough of an upgrade as a passer for that tradeoff, so I agree with the market in backing the Jets in a must-win spot.
