Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Jimmie's Analysis:

I'm not overly confident in the Bears right now, but they are in a much better spot health-wise than the Rams are right now. Caleb Williams has had some struggles, but he can still make plays. If the Rams were healthy, I'd be staying away. Home field advantage is the difference for me here.

Matt's Analysis:

Perhaps a little bit of a homer play here; don't want to push so not playing -3. While the 49ers might not be what they were due to injuries right now, teams over the past few seasons the week after facing San Francisco have a horrible record. LA staged a huge rally to beat its bitter rival last Sunday so this feels like a letdown game anyways, plus you add in the 10 a.m. Pacific kick. I do feel better about Caleb Williams after his Week 3 performance. Keenan Allen is back today and the Bears are quite healthy.

Adam's Analysis:

Rare opportunity to back Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford as underdogs, and we get to do it against … the Bears? L.A. generally exceeds expectations when their backs are against the wall, even does when down star players. This will be the second week in a row the Rams are operating without their playmakers, so there should be some comfort. The offensive line has gotten a bit healthier, and Chicago’s excellent (so far) secondary has not been tested by a quarterback with this combination of talent and experience yet this season. Despite all of their weaponry, the Bears have failed to score more than 17 points in a game this season. The Rams may win outright, but they will at least keep it close.

Larry's Analysis:

The Rams have given up the most explosive pass plays and also have missed the most tackles. That's a great combination for this prop. Last week Caleb Williams connected with Rome Odunze for 47 yards and D.J. Moore for 44. Look for him to complete at least one pass of 35-plus yards Sunday.

Alex's Analysis:

After a breakout campaign that saw Kyren Williams combine excellent usage with elite efficiency, Williams has really struggled in the efficiency department this season. Hes also running behind a dreadful offensive line that hasn’t been doing him favors. Now Williams and the Rams are set to face a very stout Bears run defense that ranks 9th in EPA allowed per rush and 2nd in run stop win rate. Considering the state of the Rams and the injuries they've incurred, this may also be a spot where Chicago forces them to play from behind and limits their rushing volume.

Alex's Analysis:

After a disappointing start to his rookie campaign, Caleb Williams provided a much more encouraging Week 3 performance and appears to moving in the right direction, despite it resulting in a loss. Getting another pass catcher outside of DJ Moore to make an impact certainly helped and now Keenan Allen also appears likely to suit up after a 2 week absence. Allen will be back in time to face a Rams pass defense that has been dreadful and ranks 31st in EPA allowed per dropback. The Rams haven’t been able to generate consistent or quick pressure either making this a tantalizing matchup for the rookie signal caller.

Reports out of Chicago suggest Swift might be demoted or lose the job completely. The bottom could fall out of this number so I’m grabbing it now.

Sia's Analysis:

This line opened at Bears -1.5 and the Bears have taken some money to push it all the way up to Bears -3. Now that we've hit a key number, I'm happy to jump in on the Rams in spite of their injuries. It's a good time for the Bears to secure a win but they are laying too many points to a team with the better coach and the better quarterback.

Jason's Analysis:

Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford know how to win games under duress, without key personnel. And they are plenty comfortable doing so on the road. The Bears should be 0-3 and while Caleb Williams is making real strides, this offensive line is a joke and the offense itself is kinda broken. If they can't run the ball - they couldn't even do it against the pathetic Colts DL - or pick up the blitz they are in trouble. Rams will continue to learn about their makeshift OL as they go, and catching a field goal here is too rich for me not to jump in. The discrepancy in QB is massive and should loom large in what could be a close, low-scoring game,
