Justin Jefferson has been targeted eight times in each of the past two games. With Sauce Gardner expected to match up often against the all-world wideout, I like Gardner to register at least four combined tackles for the third straight game.
It's not easy to pick against the Vikings, considering how well they've played in their 4-0 start. But, as we remind, it's the nature of the NFL for things to not always be as they seem. The league is full of surprises, and the thought is that if the Jets are to do something this season, it has to start about right now. Wins over the Titans and Patriots seemed to get things on track before damp weather and an aroused Denver defense put the brakes on the Aaron Rodgers-led offense last week. Though Sam Darnold has been an early success for the Vikings this season, can he sustain his pace of the first four weeks? Play Jets (at Tottenham Stadium, London)
Hall has only been under this number one time, in a strange game where he had drops and the Jets didn’t have an offensive touchdown. The Vikings will pressure Rogers and dumping it to Hall is both smart and efficient. Yards require laying less juice than Divorce the over on receptions
Let's take the points as this is the time to fade the Vikings as a favorite. They have been great thus far, but the Jets should have the greater sense of urgency following last week's loss to the Broncos.
Minnesota continues to find a way to be productive offensively, to where it has become the expectation. Speaking of offense, everything for the Jets seems to be a chore. That's not what you want to hear when you're facing a defense like the Vikings that can dictate the terms; which they will in this game.
This is right at his season average, but this is no average game. Jets just got exposed by DEN blitzing half the time and should brace for heavy load here from Brian Flores, who led NFL in it in 23. Aaron Rodgers throwing 25% of his passes to RBs - very high number - and should probably be more than this vs this defense. Rodgers is getting rid of the ball super fast, got hit 14 times last week. Get ready for checkdowns galore in London
The Vikings are one of two remaining undefeated teams after hanging on against the Packers, and their record may be overvaluing them a bit in this game, and they could be primed for a stinker heading into their bye with a record well above expectation. The Jets rank first in net yards per pass attempt, so I'm not expecting a big Sam Darnold Revenge Game. Aaron Rodgers has been good against the blitz so expect a bounceback for the Jets offense. The Jets certainly are desperate for a win after a surprise loss with a tough schedule ahead, and I expect this matchup will trend more toward preseason expectations than where the market has these teams now. Nice and early 9:30am start time to this game. Factor in travel, neutral field, and two top-tier defenses, and I think this one stays below 40 total points. The Jets are coming off a 10-9 loss to the Denver Broncos. Vikings DC Brian Flores has had his unit dialed in to start the year, while the Jets continue to have visible communication issues. The Jets will happily lean on their defense, which could bring Vikings QB Sam Darnold back to earth a bit after his unexpected scorching hot start. I see these teams trading field goals in London.
Well, everybody zigs I will zag. This is a Great spot to buy low on the Jets, who looked abysmal in the rain v. Denver. Nice plus money price
Vikings might be the best team in NFL, don't be fooled by garbage time the D gave up. Brian Flores is a wizard and he continues to stuff the Shanahan tree and he gets the weakest branch of all in Nathaniel Hackett in London. Flores's D is prepared having just faced Shanahan and his protégées Bobby Slowik (HOU) and Matt LaFleur (GB) in successions. Jets should be 1-3 lucky to beat TEN. NYK avg 4.8 yards/play; it was 4.7 thru weeks a year ago. Held to 265 yards or less 3 times. Have produced just 8 offensive TDs with Rodgers on the field. Garrett Wilson is a passenger in an offense with zero downfield intent. Jets D overrated. Can run on them.
