There is a lot of momentum for the Cardinals in this game, as you can see by most picks heading in their direction. And I get it. Russell Wilson has tanked his MVP season with interceptions. The defense is horrendous. (The Seahawks can't hire Dan Quinn soon enough.) Both teams have been ravaged by injuries. What concerns me is that Arizona is severely depleted along its defensive line, and Seattle looks like it's going to get back to running the ball to take some pressure off Russ and attack that DL. But that may not be sustainable if its defense continues to be a sieve and give up major chunk yardage. The last meeting was a game the Seahawks should have won and covered, instead it cratered. Cards cover.
I do NOT bet games sitting right on 3 points because of the push factor and had been waiting all day for this to shift down to 2.5, but it never did at William Hill. I didn't want to chicken out and avoid the game completely, but let's make it clear I will be buying down to -2.5 at WH. Yes, the Seahawks' awful defense is missing two starters in the secondary, but how are the Cards not a bit flat here off Sunday's incredible win? There's also the fact Russell Wilson has never lost 3 straight games in his career and is 5-1-1 ATS in the previous 7 when he was on a two-game skid. Wilson also is a 14-6-1 ATS monster in home primetime games, although granted those were with fans in attendance.
With Carlos Hyde returning and the Cardinals missing multiple defensive linemen, the Seahawks will get back to their ground game tonight. That is going to eat some clock. Look for the Under to cash for the fifth straight time in an Arizona road game.
Something's wrong with Russell Wilson, who's committed 10 turnovers in the past four games. Seattle is 1-3 in that stretch. The Seahawks have no defense and Kyler Murray, who's playing great, should have a huge night. I think the Cardinals will end up winning this division.
Thursday, the Arizona Cardinals will attempt to sweep the Seahawks for the first time since 2009. Additionally, the Seahawks have never lost three straight games in Russell Wilson’s career. Yet, this is a third straight tough matchup for the Seahawks, who don’t have answers defensively for Kyler Murray. Grab the Cardinals to build off their magical win over the Bills.
The Seahawks have covered just once in their last five and you can see the defense getting worse. Quarterback Russell Wilson has been taking more chances than he usually would, offering seven interceptions and three fumbles lost between his last four starts. But the Cardinals' defense isn’t much better, as they make it a struggle almost every week. But they are 3-0 straight up when getting points this year, so the play is on Arizona.
