Brock Bowers has erupted against man coverage this season. He figures to get a massive target share with Aidan O'Connell returning against Jacksonville's man-heavy defense. Look for Bowers to break at least one play for 22-plus yards.
A team with ten straight losses being favored? Yes, facing the Jags helps, but even so, the Raiders look to be very dubious chalk this afternoon at Allegiant Stadium. Aidan O'Connell apparently good to go at QB for the Raiders, but is he really much of an upgrade from Desmond Ridder, or, from earlier this season, Gardner Minshew? The Jags have only dropped two of their last eight spread decisions, Mac Jones moved the offense fairly well last week vs. the Jets, and there is a better chance (we think) that Doug Pederson returns along the J'ville sideline in 2025 than Antonio Pierce does the same for Las Vegas. Play Jaguars

This is a plus matchup for Brenton Strange, who caught 11 of 12 targets last week in the first game Evan Engram missed. Strange is the Jags' receiving tight end; last week he played 51 snaps and ran 43 routes. Mac Jones' tendency to throw short is a boon for Strange.

Brock Bowers is in a smash spot Sunday against a Jacksonville defense that plays a ton of man coverage. More than 60 percent of opposing tight ends have gone over their season averages by at least 20 percent when facing the Jags. With Aidan O'Connell back behind center, and with running back Sincere McCormick on IR, Bowers should get plenty of volume.
On a short week the Las Vegas Raiders will host the Jacksonville Jaguars. After ten straight losses expect the Raiders to take out their frustrations against the Jaguars. They have regained some starters and will have Aiden O’Connell back under center. Jacksonville also has incentive to lose to be tied with the Raiders for fewest wins in the NFL. Take the Raiders to end their ten game losing streak.
Aidan O’Connell is good to go Sunday, and he should have great success against the NFL’s worst pass defense. Jacksonville specifically struggles against tight ends. That’s one area where the Raiders are loaded. Vegas is at home and has shown no quit despite the mounting losses. Back the Raiders, on a 10-game skid, to avoid tying a dubious franchise mark.

This is kind of a random kicker pick on a terrible team but bear with me. Cam Little is 9/10 in made kicks over the team's last four games and has surpassed this prop in three of them. The Raiders have allowed 11 kickers to make multiple field goals in 14 games this season and are tied for most successful field goals allowed (33). In what should be an ugly game, Little should have multiple opportunities to continue these trends.

The Mac Jones to Brian Thomas Jr. connection is real and I'm here for it! Over the last three weeks, the Jaguars' rookie had a 27% target share and a 33% first-read share. He has surpassed this yardage total in four straight games and should thrive against a Las Vegas secondary that is beatable. I believe he has 76+ yards for the fifth straight contest in Week 16...
What Jacksonville has over the Raiders in this game is the ability to generate chunk plays on offense. Las Vegas couldn't find any offense against the Falcons last weekend and face a much stiffer test this game against the Jaguars. Look for the Jags to go on the road and cover.
The Raiders may get Aidan O'Connell back for this start, which has flipped them to favorites in this game. I'm not sure it matters. They haven't scored more than 17 in any of his four starts this year, and his top WR is at less than 100% in Jakobi Meyers. On defense, Vegas has to close out the year without elite pass rusher Maxx Crosby. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have surprisingly played with effort since they bye, outgaining their last three opponents. I have the Jags as two points better than the Raiders right now, and I wouldn't give Vegas 3 for home field in a dead season.
