The plan was to take the Rams anyway in this game, but with Derrick Henry out and the hook gone, it’s time. For those downplaying Henry’s importance, the man was literally responsible for more than one-third of the Titans’ offense this season. Are Jeremy McNichols and maybe Adrian Peterson really going to replace that? The Rams have won four straight but looked uneven over the last two, so this actually amounts to a get-right game for them over a quality opponent. Give me the better team at home in primetime with its full complement of players. Matthew Stafford is going to have success moving around the secondary and opening up rushing lanes.

The total dipped just 1.5 points from the look-ahead since irreplaceable RB Derrick Henry was injured. His backups are unlikely to provide much offensive oomph for the Titans. Five of the Rams’ eight games have wound up Under this number, as have half of Tennessee’s. If the Titans try to throw more in Henry’s absence, the Rams’ lockdown defenders will dash those plans.

A change to a running back committee will feature Adrian Peterson and the offense will now shift the burden on the passing game and Ryan Tannehill. The Titans are now forced to compete on offense without star running back Derrick Henry, and the market doesn't expect much, as this line has moved 3.5 points from the lookahead. A small part of that is likely the addition of Von Miller to the Rams defense, but to me it appears the market is overadjusting for Henry's absence. Ryan Tannehill has proven to be a capable QB, and the Titans offense should have Julio Jones after the receiver practiced on Wednesday. The Rams are one of the best teams in the league but haven't been tested in nearly a month, and with the Titans defense improving as of late, I think they can keep this one close.

Tennessee has won three straight outright as underdogs, an incredible feat, but doubt it was going to be four straight (and on the road). Tennessee has now lost it's top two running backs in Henry and Darrynton Evans so that leaves them with Jeremy McNichols (at least for this week). Look, this injury fundamentally changes the Titans' offense as a whole, not to mention keep an eye on Ryan Tannehill's neck on the injury report this week as well. He might not be 100% for this game either.
