FanDuel. Jared Butler has assumed a significant role for the injury-riddled Sixers. He’s cleared this points line in 10 of 13 games that he’s played at least 26 minutes, and six of the last seven games overall. He should play complement to Quentin Grimes tonight, in a matchup against the Heat. Butler scored 19 points ten days ago in this same matchup.

The only bad game Quentin Grimes has had lately came against Miami, when he scored 15 points on 6-of-14 shooting in a March 29 blowout loss in Philly. Still, this looks like a spot in which Grimes will get the volume he needs. All the usuals are out for the 76ers, plus Guerschon Yabusele. In addition, Justin Edwards is questionable. Grimes is averaging 26 points this month after averaging 26.6 in March. Look for Grimes to score at least 23 points for the 14th time in his last 18 games dating to the start of March.

Walker is getting more playing time with Tyrese Maxey and Justin Edwards both out for the Sixers. He has topped 30 minutes in three of his last four games. Walker has at least four assists in four straight games. He has gone over this total in six straight when he plays at least 28 minutes. Given the current state of the Sixers, I expect Walker to play 28+ minutes again tonight.

Kel’el Ware has grabbed at least 10 rebounds in eight of his last 12 games. That included a game against the 76ers in which he had 14 rebounds. In another game that he started against the 76ers this season, he had 13 rebounds. The 76ers have allowed seventh-most rebounds per game in the league and are down to Adem Bona and Colin Castleton at center. Ware has the potential to dominate the boards again.
Pay no mind to a couple of recent semi- competitive efforts. The narrative for the Sixers remains the t-word, which is why most of the roster (Embiid, Maxey, George, etc) is in dry dock. Philly is close to its objective of finishing bottom six, keeping its first-round pick and a chance in the lottery at the top pick. As for Miami, it has lost two straight, but did win six in a row prior, including 118-95 over Philly on March 29 when Tyler Herro scored 30 as it fights for an improved play-in seed. We need to watch the availability of Herro (thigh), who missed Saturday's loss to the Bucks, but going against the Sixers remains a good idea. Play Heat.
The Heat are one of a few teams left with something to play for here, with a chance to move up from 10th seed to host play-ins. If they are going to salvage their season, then their newfound offense with Bam Adebayo launching threes probably needs to continue. The Heat have scored 115+ in 6 of their last 8 games and dropped 118 on the Sixers the last time they met. The Heat are averaging 118/G over their last 8 games. The Sixers are a terrible defensive team, allowing 118+ in 16 of their last 20 games, yielding an average of 122.7/G over that span. They wave the white flag most nights and can't defend the rim or perimeter.
