Josh Okogie is logging over 32 minutes a game when he has been in the starting lineup this season. He's become a 3 and D specialist and has really filled in nicely since the Suns traded Mikal Bridges for Kevin Durant. He has eclipsed this combo line in 9 of 11 games that he has started and played at least 30 minutes. Golden State plays at the fastest pace in the league and I believe this game will be up tempo which is why I prefer his combo line since he is active on the glass.
The first three matchups have seen the point spread move heavily in the Warriors' favor, only to see the Suns blow out the Warriors all three times. In fact, the Suns have won by double figures in all three meetings. For the fourth and final matchup, look for the Warriors' entire roster to dig in and avoid the embarrassment of four losses to the Suns this season. Grab the Warriors.
Without Kevin Durant in the Suns lineup for at least the next few weeks, Chris Paul is likely to take on a heavier load facilitating the Suns offense. On Saturday, he had 16 points and 16 assists in a home loss to Sacramento. I'll be on Early Edge in 5 at 4 p.m. ET to explain this pick further...
Curry is having another spectacular season from behind the arc, averaging 5.0 three-pointers per game. Over four games since returning from injury, he has hit at least five three-pointers three times. The one time that he didn’t, he hit four of them. The key to his production from behind the arc is that he is averaging 11.5 three-point attempts per game, hitting them at a rate of 43.3 percent. The three times he has faced the Suns this season, he has made four, seven and five three-pointers, respectively.
The Warriors are still missing some key pieces, but they play very well at home and may have gained some confidence after Saturday night's win against the Bucks. Yes, the win against the Bucks was without Giannis Antetokounmpo, but it was certainly a confidence booster for Steph Curry, who started out slow and then caught fire. Curry won't need to worry about the defense of Mikal Bridges tonight as he was dealt in the Kevin Durant trade, and of course the Suns will also be without Durant tonight. It's a big game for both teams, but it's bigger for the Warriors, who are great at home.
