This QB matchup is must-see TV. Dylan Raiola may be the savior for Nebraska football, and Shedeur Sanders could be a top-five pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Colorado was soft and porous on defense in Week 1, so I expect the Huskers to score plenty. On the other side, the Buffs' passing attack is legit. I project this game total to be 60+.
Homefield advantage will be real for the Huskers, but this line is an overreaction to Week 1. I expect Nebraska to bully CU at the LOS, but the Huskers also don't have the speed on the back end of their defense to consistently run with Colorado's WRs. I have Nebraska winning by 3-6 points in a shootout.
The improving Cornhuskers are looking to snap a three-game skid in this series and should be in good shape to do so against a Colorado club that allowed 449 yards of total offense and 26 points to FCS foe South Dakota State while narrowly escaping with a victory last week.
Let’s take the points here. Specifically points to be scored. By everyone. Coach Prime will NOT pull up the gear late and a late TD might make the difference
Colorado is the badly coached team whose defense can't stop anybody. It's all hype and no substance. But they beat Nebraska in the last three meetings including last year 36-14 in Deion Sanders second game as head coach for the Buffaloes. Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola is going to be a problem for the defense. They're probably going to score 30 to 34 points but the thing is Colorado's offense isn't going to go away. Let's say the Buffs get 27 or 30 points and cover the spread, maybe win. This is where Colorado is playing their best when they're an underdog. They just seem to play better when they are expected to lose. Colorado to cover.
I love to bet against Colorado but this line is just too juicy to pass up. Shedeur Sanders will be a high first round pick next spring and Dylan Raiola is starting his second game in college. There's no way that a Nebraska team, who hasn't faced what I consider a good college offense since basically last October, should be favored by more than 4-6 points here. The Buffaloes keep it close. Nebraska 31, Colorado 27.
