There are few instances in which you want to back the Titans this year, but this is one of them. They are catching the similarly struggling Patriots in a letdown spot off their upset of the Jets. Look for Tennessee tp use its ground game to grind out the edge in a battle of offense-challenged teams.
The New England Patriots are coming off a shocking upset win at home over the New York Jets. Now they will travel on the road against a Tennessee Titans team that has shown flashes of solid play over the last two weeks. They hung around in the first half against the Buffalo Bills, and also did some nice things offensively against the Detroit Lions. Look for the Titans to finally put it together in an advantageous spot against the Patriots.
Eight Titans players missed practice on Friday, with three being ruled out, while no Patriots players missed practice and Drake Maye cleared concussion protocol. The Patriots are the healthier team in a game for the first time in a long time, and they'll be up against a bad Titans team that probably shouldn't be laying a field goal against anyone but the Panthers even when they're in better health. Tennessee has just one win on the year and it came against a nonfunctional Miami offense where Tyler Huntley was making his first start. With Julius Chestnut potentially starting at RB, they can't even lean on the run game here. I think the Pats win this one outright but love getting the full field goal.
It's unclear if Drake Maye is going to go for the Patriots, but I think the Titans cover this number regardless. The Titans formidable defense looked bad last week thanks to the Lions putting up 52 points, but much of that damage was inflicted via special teams. The Titans defense should be able to contain the Patriots offense and I think the Titans will be able to move the ball (they had over 400 yards of offense last week). Look for turnover and special teams regression to the mean for the Titans and a cover against the Patriots.
