There may be some trepidation to back Dak Prescott in his first game back given his poor Week 1 performance before getting injured, but what Dak has been able to do -- in addition to rehabbing his hand -- is self scout, watch game tape and prepare for his return. Against a Lions team that was shut out 29-0 last week and has allowed 34 points per game, it's a great spot for Prescott to return with all his weapons in tow. Get in now before this climbs to a full touchdown or more ahead of kickoff.
Hey all, mini-break. Post-hurricane, things are just chaotic. Now that this is under 7 .... yeah let's do it. Dak is back and D'Andre Swift is out again. The latter of which isn't good for my Fantasy team (not even checked in a few weeks; I may have Skylar Thompson as my QB) but hopefully the bankroll.
What a nice landing spot for Dallas QB Dak Prescott, who is back from a thumb injury. He takes aim at the NFL’s most sieve-like defense. Detroit flexed some offensive muscle this season until getting shut out by New England in its last contest. The Cowboys are permitting an average of 15 points in three home games. The Lions were counting on the return of RB D’Andre Swift, but those prospects have turned dim. Detroit has yet to win straight-up on the road for coach Dan Campbell, so an outright victory by Dallas seems almost certain.
The Cowboys get their quarterback back under center with Dak Prescott expected to return for this game. He could have a big day against a bad Lions defense if he's right. But he didn't look great before his injury, and the Lions at least had the bye to get a little healthier on both sides of the ball. That includes at the skill positions, where Amon-Ra St. Brown should be back to full health and D'Andre Swift may be back in the mix. The Lions' elite offensive line is one of the few that could hold up against the Cowboys' ferocious pass rush, and I like Jared Goff's chances of getting the backdoor cover here if we need it. Get this number at +7 before it moves.
