De'Andre Hunter closed the season by making multiple 3-pointers in six straight games and he did so in 19 out of his 27 games with the Cavs. The Heat are an average 3-point defensive team and will be so focused on sinking down on the penetration of Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland that Hunter should benefit from a lot of open catch-and-shoot 3s.
There's some momentum behind the Heat because they got through a couple play-in wins. Terrific. They beat the Bulls and the Hawks. Cleveland is arguably the best team in the league, and Miami is going to find out quickly in this series that Culture doesn't get buckets and Jimmy Butler isn't walking through that door. Cleveland is going to roll, beginning with a blowout opener.
Cleveland's form, so impeccable the first five months of the season, flattened in the past month, as the Cavs hit the playoffs just 8-8 their last sixteen games. Deceiving, perhaps, gearing down after securing the East's top record, and various starters missing action, but worth noting that the three games vs. Miami were not necessarily easy, with the Heat winning outright once and also covering in the 112-107 loss when top scorer Tyler Herro (who scored 33 ppg in the play-in round) was out. Road wins in the play-ins at Chicago and Atlanta at least reminded that Erik Spoelstra still knows how to get his team prepared for the playoffs, and the Heat has proven it can be competitive with the Cavs. Play Heat

Bam Adebayo logged at least 36 minutes in both Play-In Tournament games for the Heat. That helped him grab at least 11 rebounds in both of them. He played the Cavaliers three times this season and he had at least 12 rebounds in two of those games. In the third, he had nine boards. With him possibly approaching 40 minutes in this game, I like him to grab double-digit rebounds again.

When playing alongside Evan Mobley, Donovan Mitchell, and Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen remained under this line in 33 of his last 47 regular season games. He’ll now face off against the stout front line of the Heat - Miami was tenth in defending the roll-man in the pick and roll this season, and allowed the ninth fewest rebounds. It’s a matchup Allen has historically struggled with, and the Cavs have too many weapons offensively as is. I’d bet this down to under 23.5.

We missed when the line was 19.5 in the first play-in game vs. Chicago because Bam Adebayo only shot 6-16 from the field and 2-4 from the line. The good thing is we now have a line 2 points less than that game because he has scored 15 and 17 in the two play-ins. Unlike his assists that go down on the road, his scoring goes up slightly from 17.9 to 18.1 and he did end the regular season on a 6 game over streak averaging 21+ pts. He also averaged 21.5 in his last 4 vs. Cleveland including a 34 point outburst in early March.
