What sort of fire is in the belly of the Suns if they could lay such an egg at home on national TV at midweek vs. the Celtics...especially with postseason hopes on the line? Instead, Phoenix didn't compete against Boston, and now must deal with a matchup that has been awkward for the Suns this season. The T-Wolves have won the first three meetings, including an easy 116-98 cruise on March 2 when Anthony Edwards scored 44. Into last week, Minnesota had an 8-game win streak before hitting a few speed bumps, but focus should be expected tonight as the Wolves look to avoid the West play-in round, fighting with the Clippers and Warriors (on 41 wins, like Minnesota) for the sixth seed. Play T-Wolves.

The Suns are a favorable matchup for big men. They have the fifth-worst defensive rating in the league, and a lot of that stems from their inability to protect the paint. Julius Randle has played them three times already this season, scoring 35, 28 and 20 points in those games. Also working in Randle’s favor is that he has averaged 18.9 points per game at home this season. Look for him to continue to exploit this matchup.
The Phoenix Suns were embarrassed their last time out on national television again the Boston Celtics. They’ll now travel on the road against a Timberwolves team that has had their number. Seven straight wins dating back to last postseason, and they have had three full days off. Generous number based on the history and rest factor for Minnesota, take the value on the Suns.

Devin Booker has been forced to be the Suns primary playmaker and while he’s talented enough to be effective in this role, it’s not his natural position and it’s negatively impacted his scoring. This is also a tough matchup against a Wolves team that has been playing very good defense down the stretch. This game also has some sneaky blowout potential. I would play this for a full unit at 36.5.

DraftKings. As the Suns make their playoff push, Kevin Durant has ramped up his scoring. He’s cleared this line in each of the last four games, and is averaging 27.5 points across 13 March games. Still without Bradley Beal, KD and the Suns will go toe to toe with the Timberwolves, a team that Durant has notched 33 and 26 points against this season.
