If this doesn't go my way, I probably am done playing a game the rest of the RS where both teams are trying to lose. I simply like the Sixers because they should have the best player on the court in Quentin Grimes -- another colossally stupid trade by the colossally bad at his job Nico Harrison, GM of the Mavs -- and another pretty good player who is playing for a big new FA contract in Guershon Yabusele. I also think it's more important to Washington to finish with the league's worst record and thus the few regulars playing like Jordan Poole and Alex Sarr won't be out there long.

Quentin Grimes has stepped for a depleted 76ers squad and as he looks forward to becoming a free agent in the summer, he has most certainly earned himself a nice contract. While he’s proven to be a capable scorer, he doesn’t offer much as a playmaker and is rebounding metrics aren’t impressive either, despite a big uptick in usage. I have Grimes projected at 9.3 RA tonight which is a sizable edge.

Caesar’s. Caesar’s. I’ll take a flier on Wizards’ rookie AJ Johnson on his points line. Having just cracked the rotation, we don’t have a lot of data to go off on, but he has cleared this line in three of the last four contests. He’s coming off a career high 17-point performance in which he was very aggressive with nine drives to the basket. The Wizards injury report for this game reads longer than a CVS receipt, so Johnson’s minutes floor is very secure. And even in a game where both teams will be actively trying to lose, the 20-year old rookie profiles as someone who the Wizards will look to feature.

The 76ers continue to finish up the season without their top players. In addition to Joel Embiid and Paul George being out for the season, Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr. will continue to be sidelined. All of their absences have resulted in Justin Edwards averaging 36 minutes over the last five games. He scored at least 18 points in all five of those games. He can rack up points in a hurry because he is shooting 37.1% from behind the arc this season. The Wizards have played at the fourth-fastest pace and they have the third-worst defensive rating in the league, putting Edwards in a favorable spot to hit this over.
