I don’t usually play overs that are juiced….but watch the game. DMitch has the ball CONSTANTLY…bake in that the Celts will throw varied looks at DMitch designed to get him to give up the ball…and he should find a way to 5 assists.
Donovan Mitchell had 12 potential assists in Game 1, but finished with just five assists. Mitchell's Cleveland teammates should shoot better in Game 2 and help Mitchell clear this prop total. Mitchell continues to draw massive defensive attention and is averaging 5.5 assists in the Cavs' four playoff losses.
Thus far in the second round, no sign of the venerable NBA Playoffs zig-zag that reappeared earlier in first-round games. And this would seem one of the least-likely zig-zag candidates in the various Game 2s of the second round, as the Cavs looked completely outgunned in the opener on Tuesday. In fact, Cleveland has looked outgunned on the road this entire postseason, losing and failing to cover all four to date at Orlando and Boston, and not scoring more than 96 points in the process, either. It won't help if rim protector Jarrett Allen is out again (as expected; ribs), and the surging Celtics have allowed fewer than 100 points in all but one of six games in these playoffs. Play Celtics
The absence of Kristaps Porzingis has opened up added playing time for Luke Kornet. Kornet hauled in seven rebounds over 18 minutes in Game 5 against the Heat, then logged 10 rebounds over 21 minutes versus the Cavaliers on Tuesday. The Celtics don’t seem to want to play Xavier Tillman Sr. much, given that he didn’t surpass seven minutes in either of those matchups. At plus money, I’ll take a chance on this over.
This dude keeps scoring a ton and picking up the weight in that regard with Porzingis out. He's dropped 25 in each of the last two games and his teammates tend to erupt whenever he makes a shot and they are loving this run he is on. White has 20+ in 4 of 6 playoff games and with Tatum a little passive lately, I expect him to go off again here. He's shooting 57% from the field in the postseason and the Cavs aren't special defensively and there are so many others who demand attention on this roster. He's prowess from behind the arc works in out favor as well. Has 88 points in the last 3 games - all Boston victories
I played against Cleveland (and won) in game one. My reasoning was that in a blow out Cleveland would pull up the gear….which is exactly what they did and they stalled at 95. Cleveland missed more shots than expected had the scrubs in for the last five minutes and still almost went over. Let’s flip the script
Thanks to Alex S. I investigated and loved this prop….over last 20+ games he is below this number 90% of the time! Play it until they move it or we lose
This is a number the Celtics clear easy on the season (+8,7 in 1st half at home in regular season), and through the playoffs except for Game 2 in the first round. I don't see history repeating itself here. Boston will be fired up and ready and I expect a bounce back game from Tatum. Cavs have all kinds of problems scoring regularly and their outside shooting is too hit or miss. I project another double-digit Celtics lead after the first 24 minutes. Expect the Celtics fresher legs to be a factor from the opening jump.
Going right back to the well as White has yet to eclipse this combo line in the playoffs and has been held under 9 combined Reb + Ast in a whopping 25 of his last 27 playoff games. This line is simply a tick too high, particularly in what projects to be a low scoring environment with minimal possessions. Will be fading him here until White proves otherwise.
The Celtics already had a Game 2 letdown in the first round. I don't see it happening again. Even with a slow start by their standards they blew out the Cavs Tues like we thought they would. And that was with Tatum providing nothing offensively on 6/18 shooting. That won't happen again and if he drains an early 3 or two, look out. Cavs cannot match up here and as we noted before Game 1, they can't play from behind. Celtics superior bench flourished in the opening game. I wouldn't be surprised if they won by 25 again. It's what they do at home against lesser teams like this. Celtics are too good and too deep and too rested.
