No KP and no Horford for Boston who doesn’t have much to play for in this spot. Meanwhile, Yannis should feast on the boards. Smart play over
The Celtics are clearly the better team, but they have zero reason to care locked in as the NBA's No. 1 overall seed in their final road game and resting their two bigs in Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis. Really feels like the Bucks need to build a little confidence ahead of the playoffs, and they still have the chance to finish as high as second in the East.
Shhhhhh don’t tell anyone but JBrown has been the best player on the Celts since the break. He has played his best ball as a pro and Milwaukee won’t slow him down. Plus, KP may not go. This is a top play
Giannis Antetokounmpo has averaged 15.3 rebounds over his last seven games, clearing this prop total in six of them. He's cleared this number in both meetings with Boston this season (he missed one matchup with a hamstring injury). In the matchup in Milwaukee, Antetokounmpo grabbed 12 rebounds in just 26 minutes. Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford are questionable. If they sit, that would make this number more easily attainable. With the Bucks desperate to hold onto the No. 2 seed, I'm expecting nearly 40 minutes -- and at least 12 rebounds -- from Antetokounmpo.
The Bucks are fading and in all kinds of trouble and Giannis is the only thing really going for them right now. Has to carry a huge load. But will the Celtics take the game as seriously? How much will Porzingis play? And Al Horford? MIL went all out to beat Boston last time out and The Greak Freak might not leave the court much. Number feels pretty light to me. He's averaged 12.5 in two games with the Celtics. Has 14+ in 6 of 7. Does BOS blow them out so bad he hits the bench? Short of that I expect Giannis to be much closer to 15 rebounds than 10 in this one.
Jaylen Brown was handed a record setting contract in the off-season making Brown the highest paid player in NBA history. While Brown had certainly proven to be an All-Star caliber player, I still considered him a flawed player that needed to develop to realize his full potential. Brown has silenced any doubters and the eighth year pro is playing the best basketball of his career. Brown is averaging 27 PPG on 53/45% shooting splits since the All-Star break. This is also a great matchup in what should be a competitive game. Last but not least, Kristaps Porzingis is Questionable and if he sits, it will certainly bump this prop up a few points.
