IH is getting more minutes, more quality usage and v GS he should be able to eclipse his number for assists and rebounds. Over.
This line is over adjusted. Steph Curry has had a recent stretch of unders, averaging 2.5 rebounds, but on the season he averages 4.5 on the road, 17-8 to the over. Andrew Wiggins will be out again, which based off last season when Wiggins missed a lot of time, correlates to more boards for Curry at 5.9. The Sportsline Model projects 4.5 rebounds.
Steph had a brutal shooting night against the Wiz, whose starters focused on taking away easy 3 looks (it worked, but not the backups vs Klay). Steph made his name at MSG and this is a big game and NYK are 30th in the NBA in Feb defending the three-ball. Steph could grab 10 assists in this game and he'll at least crack 20 points ... and I wouldn't be shocked if he got hot early and scored 30 himself. If he's not hot, well, someone else will be open outside the arc. Steph also a monster scoring in paint and Knicks interior D sagging due to injuries.
Really haven't liked the numbers in the NBA this week and can't say I love this, either, because I don't know whether Jalen Brunson will play. The Knicks are 1-3 without him overall this season and averaging just 100 PPG. New York is still so short-handed hopefully it won't matter. No Andrew Wiggins for the Dubs, but Chris Paul looked quite good in his return from injury on Tuesday. Steph Curry always gets fired up to play at the Garden.
Even before Jalen Brunson (iffy tonight) sat out recently due to neck spasms, the Knicks were leaking oil without OG Anunoby and Julius Randle, and now 1-9 their last 10 vs. the line. Then, minus Brunson, the offense slowed to a crawl in Tuesday's loss to the Pelicans. By contrast, the Warriors miss Andrew Wiggins tonight, but recently saw Chris Paul return to active duty, adding to some real bench firepower that suddenly includes Klay Thompson, now a super-sub and scoring 25 in the Tuesday win at Washington. Steph Curry also hadn't been blanked in a first half since 2012 before Tuesday, so he should be up for atonement, and the Dubs bring 9-2 SU and spread marks their last 11 into MSG. Play Warriors
Isaiah Hartenstein has been a key reserve for the Knicks and has stepped up in place of Mitchell Robinson who has missed nearly the entire season. Hartenstein doesn't offer the same defensive impact (very few players do) but he is a versatile offensive player and serviceable defensively. He is also an above average rebounder and a solid passer as well. Hartenstein averages 13.4 Reb + Ast in 27 starts this season. He has eclipsed this line in 20/27 starts (74% hit rate to the over). The Warriors play at the 7th fastest pace and as long as Hartenstein gets 27+ minutes he should have a good shot of eclipsing this line.
