This is the final stop on a seven-game road trip for the Kings. Fatigue could factor in for a team that plays at warp speed, but more than that, the Cavs are the hottest team in the league and back to full strength with Darius Garland and Evan Mobley working back into the lineup. Some books have Cleveland at -4. Take the extra half point if you can get it and ride the home team.
We have to think twice before looking against Sacto these days, especially with the Kings off if wins in six of their last seven. But no hesitation at all backing the Cavs, who have won 13 of 14, with a couple of wins over the Bucks and a win over the red-hot Clippers included in that uptick. A bit of revenge on the plate for Cleveland, too. against long-ago HC Mike Brown, who beat the Cavs at Golden 1 Center back on November 13 when Donovan Mitchell had a rare off-night (7 for 21 from floor) and Sacto shot an unconscious 59% from the floor. Not to sound too snarky, but let's see the Kings do that again at the Rocket. Play Cavs
This is a buy low spot on Darius Garland. He is easing back in after his injury, and quite frankly hasn't had to play too many minutes yet with the way the Cavs have been performing without him. This third game back against the Kings should be the perfect spot for him to start increasing his minutes and shot volume again, especially with a questionable Jarrett Allen.
I don't really think Cleveland is this much better than the Kings but it feels like a horrible spot for them at the end of a grueling seven-game trip (started back on Jan. 25) and a third game in four nights. Jarrett Allen is listed questionable for the Cavs but was at shootaround. Cleveland is rolling again on a five-game winning streak.
Cleveland is getting healthy and have returned both Darius Garland and Evan Mobley to their starting lineup. This is a massive number for Donovan Mitchell who is averaging just under 40 PRA, however that number shrinks closer to 36 with Garland and Mobley back in the lineup. Even in a plus matchup this number should be around 37.5.
