The Detroit Pistons may be one of the worst teams record-wise in the NBA, but ATS they have been superb. Since Feb. 16, they are 19-3 ATS, and are on a three-game win streak. Evaluating that stretch, they faced just three Western Conference teams in Oklahoma City, the Clippers, and the Blazers. Look for a higher-level team in the Mavericks to end the Pistons' stout stretch ATS. Play Dallas.
Dallas is healthy save Maxi Kleber, but Detroit is down a pair of starters in Cory Joseph and Marvin Bagley. Cade Cunningham's played all of eight minutes in April and will likely defend Luka Doncic for spells of this game. The Pistons are running hot, but I'll take the Mavericks team that toppled the underdogs by 30 earlier this year.
The Mavericks have gone Over the total in their last four games, showing that the season-long shrinking total number finally may have caught up with them. But they’re still the best Under team in the NBA, hitting at 59.7 percent. I like Dallas to control the pace and keep this game Under.
Dallas is coming off a statement win in Milwaukee, so this could be a letdown spot at lowly Detroit. The Pistons enter on an incredible 19-3 ATS run and have actually won three in a row straight-up. Cade Cunningham is questionable, but without him the past two games Detroit won at OKC and Indiana. Look for Saddiq Bey, who's averaging 20 points over the last four full games he's played, to stay hot as Detroit keeps it close.
