I wouldn't play -1.5 even though it's a great price, but the Braves thought it wise to give leadoff hitter and former NL ROY Michael Harris the night off as bad as they are struggling right now. Not that Harris is hitting, either, but now tonight's Atlanta lineup is more Savannah Bananas from spots 6-9. No offense Bananas. ATL starting pitcher Bryce Elder was bad in 2024 and again this spring. This likely will be all about whether LA's Blake Snell is wild or not. I would also rec -1 on this full game play (or Dodgers no bat B9) but not offered here, so if you have that option ...

FanDuel. As bad as the Braves bats have been out of the gate, this is a wildly high line for notorious slow starter, Blake Snell. He’s got incredible stuff, but with that comes a diminished pitch efficiency - Snell would have lead MLB starters in pitches per plate appearance last season if he qualified. And the Braves, despite not hitting anything, lead all of baseball in that same metric to start 2025. Snell hasn’t finished six innings in a start before May 1st since 2019 - I don’t see today being the first.
We got the Braves 0-6 to start the season and the Dodgers 7-0 to start their season. What do you think happens next? Seeing how the Braves took their runs per game down to 1.5 after the 3-1 loss last night, they're not off to a great start on the season hitting the ball. And that's essentially what the bet is about: rooting for a repeat of what’s happening. Bryce Elder starts for the Braves in his first start of the season, but in his last start, he gave up seven runs in 3.2 innings to the Brewers in August. Blake Snell goes for the Dodgers in a second start of the year after giving up two runs and five innings. Dodgers run-line.

The Atlanta Braves find themselves as steep underdogs tonight as they are 0-6 on the season. Marcell Ozuna was one of the few Braves to get on base last night, and did so three times. He’s been walked seven out of his last fifteen plate appearances, and has had success against Blake Snell, with a home run. Take Ozuna to get on base with at least one hit tonight.
A bit sheepishly, we feel almost obligated to back the Dodgers at the best available price. Tonight doesn't look so bad on the RL as they look to sweep the laboring Braves. That the Braves couldn't do more than score one run and scratch out only three hits against Dustin May, at the back of the LA rotation, looms more ominous. The Braves can't get on base and can't score, tallying just nine runs in their numbing 0-6 start, and just twice across the past four games. I doubt tonight that Bryce Elder outpitches Blake Snell, with Elder in only because a sore shoulder for Reynaldo Lopez opened up a spot in the rotation. Play Dodgers on Run Line.
