So much for the "Garrett Crochet Revolution" with the Chisox, which effectively ended around Flag Day. Crochet's numbers across nearly two months have been abysmal; the Pale Hose have lost in seven of his last eight starts, while Crochet has a 6.98 ERA across the past seven of those outings. Meanwhile, four innings is a long stint for him these days. The Sox are also bad (like 28-91 bad), and the Astros are definitely not, winning eight in a row. Note Spencer Arrighetti is off of two superb stars for Houston, allowing just 3 runs and 7 hits while striking out an eye-opening 25 across just 13 IP. Play Astros on RL
The CWS are throwing their best and their lineup is borderline dreadful. Let’s fade a fifth run through 5 at a nice price for us.

Astros starter Spencer Arrighetti just became the first rookie in AL history to strike out 12-plus batters in consecutive games. Now he faces MLB's worst offense in the White Sox, who are striking out 24 percent of the time against right-handed pitching. It's true Arrighetti only fanned two White Sox batters in a start back on June 20, but he's in an incredible groove now, with his wicked curve routinely getting whiffs. He's fanned 33 over his last three starts and should get seven-plus Friday.
The fading of White Sox ace Garrett Crochet has begun -- and it should. He's way past a career high in innings, and it is showing as the lanky lefty hasn't worked more than four innings in any of his last six outings and has a 0-3 record, 6.98 ERA and 1.81 WHIP during that span. If the White Sox weren't owned by a cadaver named Jerry Reinsdorf, which is offensive to dead people and zombies everywhere, then they would shut Crochet down before he blows out his arm again. But that's what a smart organization like the Rays would do. Not how the Pale Hose operate. Houston has won eight in a row to take control of the AL West.
This Astros' run line (-1.5) being +120 is a testament to name recognition. Garrett Crochet vs. Spencer Arrighetti sounds like a pitching mismatch, but Crochet is out of gas after crushing his career high in innings and has a 8.78 ERA in his last four starts, a span of only 13 1/3 innings. Plus, the White Sox bullpen is awful. So is their offense and Arrighetti has been great, lately, pitching to a 3.25 ERA in his last six starts. He struck out 12 and then 13, respectively, in his last two outings. The Astros have won eight in a row, the White Sox are 11-49 on the road and this just seems too easy.
The Stros are hot and this should be a big weekend for them scoring at home. Spencer Arrighetti has struck out 25 in 13 IP in his last 2 starts, allowing just 3 ER. Pale Hose are totally broken and Garrett Crochet has hit the wall. The6 have lost 9 straight of his starts, he has 6 straight appearances of 4 IP or less with a 6.98 ERA in that span (since 7/1) allowing a .927 OPS. Allowed 9 hits to Stros in earlier meeting when he was in better form. White Sox pen is a joke. This could be a blowout
