The weather is going to be a factor. UCF has a big advantage there with the nation's best rushing attack. The Buffs have been better on defense under Robert Livingston, but the Knights average almost 400 rushing yards per game. On the other side, weather permitting, Colorado should be able to throw the ball against UCF's secondary. The Knight's will have problems keeping up with Travis Hunter and the rest of the Buffs receiving group. This is a game that shapes up nicely for a garbage time cover.
Sure, Colorado needed some magic to steal a win from Baylor at Boulder last week, but Gus Malzahn's Knights had to make a wild comeback of their own in their last game vs. TCU. Not sure fundamentals work as well here for UCF, which has not been adept at pressuring opposing QBs, recording just one sack, and that includes two games vs. outclassed New Hampshire and Sam Houston. CU's Shedeur Sanders, often under siege, has still tossed 11 TD passes (vs. only 2 picks), and is amassing 335 passing yards pg. The Knights' 375 ypg rushing (tops in nation) is worth noting, and RB R.J. Harvey is motoring at 448 YR, but it's also a tad deceiving, fueled by that soft early scheduling. Play Colorado
To be clear, UCF will win this game far more times than not, but there's a little too much value on the Buffs here. When you have the talent Colorado has on offense, anything is possible.
UCF should be able to run all over Colorado, and if you saw UCF's secondary perform against TCU, it's safe to say Colorado will be able to throw all over UCF. We've got a shootout coming.
Colorado is dysfunctional. They are overrated. They are more sizzle than steak. But this is too many points and Sanders is great in garbage time
This is a huge matchup in the Big 12. Colorado has two of the best players in the country with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. UCF has one of the best RBs in the country in RJ Harvey, as well as a tough-as-nails QB in KJ Jefferson who also contributes to the run game. Tends tend to want to do more than necessary when playing Colorado, which is why I like this one to be a lot closer than folks think.
