Maybe the Hornets are making some progress, increasing their point production the past four games. Except it's from 88 to 92 to 96 to 100 to 101. (At that rate Charlotte might get into the 120s sometime early next season.) The Hornets keep losing, now seven straight, and even LaMelo Ball's recent return to active duty after a brief absence hasn't sparked the offense. The T-wolves have some of the better defensive numbers in the league and look like they might be ramping up with consecutive romps past the Suns and Sixers. It's a back-to-back scenario after last night's win vs. Philly, but Ant Edwards and Julius Randle weren't overly-taxed, and keeping Charlotte beneath 100 points seems reasonable Play Wolves-Hornets Under.
Charlotte is playing pretty awful right now but should have everyone available (who isn't out for the year). Feels like a major trap game with the Timberwolves off back-to-back big wins but in the second of a B2B after prevailing Tuesday in Philly without Rudy Gobert. I tend to doubt he plays tonight and we could see a guy or two get the second leg off. And the Minnesota players probably are looking forward to the next leg of the road trip late tonight: Miami.

This is a tough spot for Mark Williams who averages 15.8 PPG on the season. He will face a Minnesota team that not only sports the 6th best defense, in addition to playing the 6th slowest pace. Furthermore, the Wolves have been very tough on opposing Centers, surrendering the 3rd fewest points to the position, on a per game basis. This game also has some blowout potential which could lead to fewer minutes for the Charlotte big man. I'd play this at 14.5 for a full unit.
The Wolves are starting to look like last year's model. ANT is goofing off and dominating, Naz Reid is an offensive force, Julius Randle is finding his way and the offense finally looks connected. They are 7-4 ATS in back to back, come in of consecutive blowout wins and beat CHA by 21 already. Hornets are cooked. Lost 7 in a row and 6 of them by 13+. Humiliating losses is becoming their brand. Lost 8 in a row at home, 6 of them by 8+. Hornets 3-7 ATS last 10 after covering steady in first half. Wolves will smell blood here and pounce. Charlotte very limited offensively.
