DraftKings. Playable up to o29.5. Naz Reid has been a force for Wolves lately, as they’re dealing with a depleted front court. Without Julius Randle, he’s cleared this line in 8/11 games this season. That includes 30+ P+R in each of the last four, with the T-Wolves also without Rudy Gobert. His minutes floor is rock solid (barring foul trouble) and his ceiling is up to 36-40. Should be a decent spot against the Lakers who have been rock solid against the pick and roll lately (4th overall this season), which doesn’t bode well for Anthony Edwards (questionable).
Some different faces from earlier meetings this season, especially with Luka Doncic now being on Lakers side, but a quick look at the first three matchups still might prove illuminating. All three of those games landed under and it wasn't even close, especially the last two matchups that landed on 189 (total 219.5) and 184 (total 213.5). Granted the T-wolves have been involved in a few shootouts lately (especially that breathless pair on Saturday & Sunday vs. OKC) but defensive numbers have been mostly good all season for Minnesota. Also interesting to note is that since the All-Star break, and the Doncic debut, the Lake Show is under all four and allowing only 100 pg in the process. Play Timberwolves-Lakers Under
The Timberwolves have won the last two meetings over the Lakers and five of the last seven but this isn't an ordinary Lakers team of the past because of Luka Doncic and what he brings to the table. He's already taking charge of the offense and Lebron is taking a secondary role. The Lakers won three games in a row, winning by 8 or more in all three. Minnesota has lost four of their last six games. Lakers cover.
This is high, yes, but too low assuming LeBron James plays and I'm not about to fall into the what if game with him. He almost always plays when listed questionable so I just assume so. That the Wolves are without Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle and maybe some others, it may not matter if LeBron plays. Bronny is doubtful, but I think L.A. can manage without that James, too. This should be -250 imo.
