Evidence suggests the 119-102 win Feb. 5 by the Wiz at Brooklyn was an outlier. After all, Washington hasn't won since, and the Nets have only lost to the Cavs in what is now a 7-2 uptick. Suddenly-revived Brooklyn has bought into a more-patient style as preached by HC Jordi Fernandez, and since Cam Thomas went down with injury almost two months ago, 6-8 wing Cameron Johnson (19.1 ppg) has become a solid go-to option when the Nets need points. Believe it or not, Fernandez has his troops within a half-game of the last East play-in spot (currently held by the fading Bulls)! Meanwhile, note only two of the top five Wiz scorers are active (either due to trade or injury). Play Nets

Brooklyn Nets reserve guard Keon Johnson has fit in with the Nets constant lineup shuffles. Whether it be from trades or injuries Johnson has stepped up and played his role. He is averaging ten points per game on the season, and will face a Wizards team he just matched a season high of 25 points against on February 5th. Take his points prop over tonight.
Washington had Brooklyn's number on February 5th when they won 119-102, but the Wizards only have nine wins on the season to go along with 47 losses. That includes 5-24 at home. With the 24 covers that the Wizards have this season, not many of them are a plus-short number like tonight. Brooklyn has won four of their last five and seven of their last nine overall. Nets are balling right now. Brooklyn to cover.
The Nets are making a playoff push, and have won 7 of 9, and three straight on the road. They probably cover here, having done so in 6 of last 8 on road (5 times by 8.5 or more). Nets are 19-9-1 ATS on road and 11-4 ATS with rest advantage and we don't even need a cover here. We like the Wizards lately but are 0-9 in back-to-backs, losing by 15, 28, 25, 28, 6, 14, 23, 38, and 14. Nets lost by 17 to WSH early this month. I expect them to bring it Mon night.
