What happened to the "Jimmy Butler Bounce" for the Warriors? Nowhere to be found last night in the 111-107 loss at Dallas. It's worth noting that some of Golden State's worst offensive outputs have come in second nights of back-to-backs, especially on the road, as the Warriors haven't even reached 100 points as a visitor in that role yet this season. As for Butler, he's played in three second nights of back-to-backs this season and is scoring all of 11 ppg in those instances. Note Houston's offense has slowed down, held beneath 100 twice in the past five games, and even with wins in the last two games, the Rockets are 2-6 SU their last eight. Play Warriors-Rockets Under

ASB is looming and this is a back to back for the Rockets and I could see them leaning into their bench more here. When Whitmore is on he is instant offense and while he was terrible from the floor last night, he is rarely bad two straight games. Warriors perimeter D has been suspect lately (Klay and Kyrie killing them Wed for instance) and Whitmore is over this in 4 of the last 6 games. Could see him pushing 30 minutes tonight. Warriors looked old and tired last night.
The Rockets are beat up and limping into the All-Star Break. Houston will for sure be without Fred VanVleet and Jabari Smith, and could also be missing centers Alperen Sengun, Steven Adams, and Cody Zeller. I expect Golden State to be near full strength, and Steve Kerr to be looking to work on developing chemistry with his new veteran-heavy core. I expect this to be closer to a one-score game in the end.
Both teams are playing on the second night of a back-to-back. Houston is dealing with significant injuries to key players. Fred VanVleet and Jabari Smith Jr. are both out for this game, while Alperen Sengun is questionable with a back injury. The Warriors are a veteran team and want to end the “first half” on a high note. Golden State is 2-1 since trading for Jimmy Butler. My model has Houston favored by four points. I really like the road dog in this spot.
