Denver could be a step slow defensively after last night's wild win in Philly -- also why we took the Bugs +14 here -- and hopefully Vasilije Micic can take advantage of that. The minutes should be there yet again with LaMelo Ball and Cody Martin both out. Micic has topped this in B2B games and the model has him at about 18.5 PA.

The Nuggets have ruled out Russell Westbrook (hamstring) and Peyton Watson (knee) for this game. The Nuggets also just played Friday, so if they race out to a big lead against the slumping Hornets, we might not see much of their starters in the second half. That could mean plenty of minutes for Julian Strawther, who scored 18 points over 19 minutes against the 76ers on Friday. Don’t be surprised if he blows past this line.

This is the second night of a road back-to-back for the Nuggets, so Jokic may get more rest than he typically would coming off a day of rest. Denver is also heavily favored against the Hornets, which leads me to believe Jokic may see a decrease in minutes. If that proves to be the case, his stat line will likely be less impressive than usual.
If you are a believer in trap games, and I am (just badly wrong on the Lakers the other night), this squares up as a huge one for Denver in the second of a B2B and end of a five-game trip. Russell Westbrook already has been ruled out after leaving last night's wild win in Philly. Not sure if you noticed, but he's having a pretty darn good year. I've always liked Russ. Can't shoot at all, but he's on Spinal Tap 11 volume like every single play. Super respect that. It would not shock me to see Jamal Murray ruled out later today after he played 40 minutes last night. Maybe we get lucky and Nikola Jokic sits too.
