I know he’s drawing Bam but this guy is in a zone. Over. Plus money.
Defense continues to work for the Thunder, as counting the NBA Cup finale vs. the Bucks on Tuesday, Ok City hasn't allowed any of its last three foes to crack the century mark. Across the past six games, the Thunder is allowing just 99 ppg. Across the past fifteen games, the Thunder has landed under in ten of fifteen chances. Though Miami has been trending the other direction in recent weeks, the Heat is off of an OT game vs. the Pistons that upped that scoreline on Monday (though it still cleared the 219.5 prior to the added five minutes). Note the most-recent meeting between these two last March 8 reached only 207 (107-100 OKC). Play Thunder-Heat Under
Caesar’s. Bam Adebayo’s scoring has been down this season. His 16.2 per game average is his lowest in five seasons, partly due to the Heat’s other scoring options remaining relatively healthier than in years past. In fact, when Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler are active, Adebayo has stayed under this line in 12/19 games. Tonight, he gets a very tough matchup down low against the Thunder who allow the fourth fewest made baskets in the paint (75% of Bam’s made baskets come in paint). Plus, Isiah Hartenstein’s normal rotation matches pretty closely with Bam’s - and he is one of the better interior defenders in the NBA.
Clearly the oddsmakers are thinking what I am: Tough spot for the Thunder. It's their third game in four nights against a terrific opponent. I expected maybe a bit of a letdown last night in Orlando off the NBA Cup loss Tuesday in Vegas. OKC did appear to hit a wall in the second half but managed to beat the Magic, who are a shell right now due to injuries. The Heat are healthy and rested. Feels like a Jimmy Butler Trade Showcase Game.
