Orlando has had an extremely tough time scoring since Paolo Banchero went out. The defense should still be there, and Tyrese Haliburton has struggled with his shot so far. A little more than a week ago these two teams went over this number, but again, Banchero played in that game.
A tricky time for the Magic, which is minus top scorer Paolo Banchero (29 ppg) until at least Thanksgiving, and likely into December, due to his strained oblique. Orlando has not fared well in Banchero's absence, losing three straight without him and four in a row overall. In the three non-Banchero games, the Magic hasn't been closer than 11 points. Orlando's's last win was a comeback effort vs. the Pacers at Kia Center on October 28, when Banchero scored 50. A chance at quick revenge for Indiana, which has wins over last year's finalists Boston and Dallas since. The Pacers offense is clicking, hitting 7% from the floor in the Monday win over the Mavs in Big D. Play Pacers
The public is all over Indiana. However, the Magic are without Paolo Banchero until December and will also miss Wendell Carter Jr. tonight. Orlando is 2-6 ATS on the year and 1-5 ATS on the road. They’ve lost their last four games and are struggling offensively without Banchero. The Magic are only averaging 94.75 points per game over their last four while Indiana is averaging 124.5 points per game at home. It might be square, but it’s difficult to see how the Magic keep up offensively.
The Magic are 0-3 since Paolo Banchero (oblique) went down. All three of those games were on the road and they lost each of them by at least 11 points. In two of those games, they failed to score at least 90 points. The Magic defeated the Pacers by four points in Orlando earlier this season, but needed to score 119 points to do so. With Banchero out, don’t expect them to be able to score enough to keep this close.
I believe this is about 30 cents low considering the Magic are at the end of a five-game trip, are 0-4 SU/ATS on it and remain without star Paolo Banchero and starting center Wendell Carter Jr. When the Pacers visited Orlando on Oct. 28, they lost by four as Banchero had 50 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists, while Carter had 11 points and 10 rebounds. My only real concern here is a possible letdown for Indiana off an upset win in Dallas on Monday but being home with some payback potential vs. a conference rival should mitigate that.
