Pacers are in the second of a back-to-back and I wonder if they let Tyrese Haliburton play in both ends. Normally would say no off that hamstring injury but of course he was traded from the Kings a couple of years ago so this will matter to him. Myles Turner apparently tweaked his ankle in Thursday's loss so doubt we see him. Frankly, half the Indiana roster is questionable, it seems. I love the NBA, but this really has to change. Not to be one of those crusty old types who mentions how many games the Karl Malones and Michael Jordans played every year, and I'm not really that old, but this is sad.
Aaron Nesmith is on a tear cashing six straight overs on his points prop. This has caused a two point increase in his normal offering of 12.5. With the Pacers in a back to back spot look for Nesmith to continue to get ample opportunities and thrive in a friendly scoring environment against the Kings.
It has been a down season for Kevin Huerter, who is averaging only 10.9 points per game. However, most of his struggles came earlier in the campaign. Over his last eight games, he is averaging 17.0 points and shooting 55.3 percent from the field. During that span, he scored at least 14 points in a game five times. That included a 31-point performance against the Pacers, who he will face again Friday. The Pacers have played at the second-fastest pace and have the fifth-worst defensive rating in the league, leaving Huerter with the potential for more success in their rematch.
Tough loss last night for the Pacers at New York after Indy looked to have control of that game into the 4th Q before the Knicks rallied. But the good news is that Tyrese Haliburton has returned to active duty this week and scored 15 last night at MSG, while Pascal Siakam has already become quite comfy in Rick Carlisle's rotations. Currently on its longest road trip of the season, Sacto still has stops to make in Chicago and Cleveland and is coming off of a stale effort at Miami when only Keegan Murray (scored 33) had a game worth talking about.
