Doubtful this morning, De'Aaron Fox will indeed play. The Cavs are off an upset win in Golden State but haven't seemed to play well in consecutive games this year yet. Sacramento has won consecutive games for the first time this season and now you add Fox's emotional lift on top of everything he does on the court.
As it appears there is a decent chance that De'Aaron Fox will return to active duty tonight for Sacto, don't mind giving the Kings a look at this fair price. Sacto has been without Fox for five games, but won the last two of those at Golden 1 Center as Domantas Sabonis has picked up the pace (including his 15thh career triple-double on Friday vs. OKC) , but this is also a chance to test the Cavs' early-season pattern of not winning back-to-back games (Cleveland succeeded at Golden State on Saturday). Play Kings
This line feels skewed due to early season injury. Jarrett Allen only averaged 20.8 in 4 games this season as he slowly increased his minutes, and even then the over is still 3-1. Allen is key in this specific matchup against Sabonis and should see some of his highest minutes this season. The center averaged 23 pts+rebs+ast and 32 min in two games vs the Kings last season. Look for similar time on the court tonight.
Sacramento point guard De'Aaron Fox (ankle) is listed as doubtful despite returning to practice. The Kings had failed to cover three straight without him until beating OKC 105-98, with Kevin Huerter and Keegan Murray combining for 52 points. I'm betting against a repeat performance because the Cavs are a much tougher defense. They rank 11th in defensive efficiency despite not having Jarrett Allen for five of their nine games. Allen was plus-13 in the Cavs' 118-110 win in Golden State on Saturday. Notwithstanding the win over OKC, Sacramento has been a terrible offensive team without Fox. Cleveland also has the better bench, led by Caris LeVert (18.8 ppg).
Evan Mobley is one of the Association's best young two way players. I like this matchup for him against a Kings defense that ranks 7th in PACE and 16th in Defensive Efficiency. Sacramento also surrenders the highest field goal percentage (53.22%) to opposing PFs. I have Mobley projected to score 17.8 points.
