Duncan Robinson was scoreless in the opener against the Knicks, and several Heat players stepped up without Jimmy Butler in Game 2. Personnel like Gabe Vincent, Max Strus and Caleb Martin showed they deserve more minutes in this series against the Knicks. Rotational players such as Robinson should see limited time on the floor. I would not be shocked to see Robinson end up scoreless like in Game 1. Take his Under 3-Pointers Made.
Julius Randle scored 25 points in Game 2, and that's notable because it's the only time he's gone over 23.5 points in the playoffs this season, and only the second time he's done so in his last 10 games overall. He's averaged 16.2 points in the playoffs, and 21 points per game against the Heat this season.
Absolutely presuming Jimmy Butler will play, but if he's less than 100 percent the Heat probably aren't winning much less covering in what should honestly be at least 60 percent Knicks fans in New York South. The Knicks have been excellent away all year and won twice convincingly in the last round in Cleveland when it was decidedly not a pro-Knicks crowd.
The last game in this series was Tuesday. Jimmy Butler (ankle) sat that out, meaning he has had significant rest heading into Game 3. All indications are that he is going to play, which is huge for the Heat. They almost beat the Knicks without him in Game 2, ultimately coming up short late in the fourth quarter. I’m not sure the Heat cover the spread, but I’m not betting against playoff Jimmy, so I’ll pay the juice that comes with the moneyline.
