Lopez has hit his over in points in 14 of his last 18 games, the match up against Boston does not scare me away. I believe Lopez should have an over/under closer to 19.5 points per game, yet Vegas continues to give us lines between 15 and 17, and we continue to cash tickets. Give me Lopez o15.5 tonight vs Boston, and let's get this bread.
With all due respect to MLB and the NIT final, I'll be watching this. Maybe the biggest regular-season game left as if the Bucks win they also win the season series -- and then there's almost no chance Boston can earn the top seed in the East/entire NBA over Milwaukee. The Bucks did play Wednesday in Indiana -- Khris Middleton rested for this one but will play here -- but have been great in the second of a B2B this year at 9-1-1 ATS. Boston is listing Robert Williams and Grant Williams as questionable in the front end of a B2B for the C's. Since 2017 when two teams meet that each have a winning percentage higher than 65 and from game No. 46 or later, the home team is 53-32 (but 39-39-7 ATS).
Middleton sat out for rest Wednesday in what was the first game of a back-to-back set for the Bucks. After having his minutes limited initially in his return from injury, Middleton has averaged 32 minutes over his last nine games. During that span, he had at least 10 combined rebounds and assists seven times. The two times that he missed, he had eight combined each. He only logged 25 minutes the last time he faced the Celtics, but he registered 11 rebounds and four assists. The odds for this aren’t great, but I still like the over to hit.
Khris Middleton sat in yesterday's game against the Pacers meaning he will have the freshest legs if his knee feels better today. This line is also a little low for his recent performances. In his last ten games Middleton averaged 19.3 points per game and 6.6 assists per game. As always, get the rest of the pick on Early Edge in 5 at 4pm ET.
Both teams have played outstanding basketball lately, but Milwaukee's defensive performance has slipped a bit. Meanwhile, Boston's been terrific on both ends of the court, and that could prove to be the difference in a huge matchup tonight.
