Jaime's Past Picks
Cam Thomas has hit this number in 8 of his last 10 games, and has an excellent match up going up against the Atlanta Hawks. Thomas averages 32.5 PRA so far this season, I like him to make it 9 of 11 games tonight. Let's get this bread!
Vegas is begging you to take the 10-1 Eagles at home. The 49ers have been waiting since January 29th for this game. They are also coming off a mini bye after playing on Thanksgiving. I like the 49ers to take care of business and secure the win despite playing in Philadelphia.
CJ has hit this number in 5 of his 7 games this season, and the Spurs are an excellent match up to make it 6 of 8. McCollum was over 22.5 points & assists in 71% of his games last season (58/82). Let's get this bread!
Arizona just isn't the same team on the road as they are at home. They are 4-1 ATS at home, but 1-4 on the road this season. The Texans are hitting their stride, and CJ Stroud is playing at a MVP level. I am not going to overthink this one, give me Houston laying the points.
I truly do not believe in the Steelers down the stretch, but I can not bet against this defense going up against DTR who threw 3 interceptions in his only start this season. The Browns may not score 10 points against the Steelers, give me Pittsburgh +2.
Lamb has 4 straight 100yd games, and the previous 3 have all been over 150 yards. I know the Panthers have a decent defense but I am riding this wagon until the wheels fall off, give me CeeDee Lamb over 82.5 receiving yards.
Despite the 2-6 record, this Giants defense is playing at an elite level. Neither Jimmy Garoppolo or Aidan O’Connell should be able to do much against this squad. Daniel Jones is returning for a Giants team desperate to turn things around, give me New York +2 in Vegas.
Two teams have been out gained in yards in every game this season: the Cardinals and the Steelers. This is not a sustainable formula for success. I expect the Jaguars to bring this 4-2 Pittsburgh team down to earth a bit and cover the -2 spread.
Jalin Hyatt seems to have a bit more chemistry with Tyrod Taylor than Daniel Jones. He has hit this number in both games in which Tyrod has started for the New York Giants, including 75yds last week against Washington. I expected him to easily cover this number against the Jets.
During Week 1 of the last 10 seasons divisional underdogs are 31-12-2 ATS (72%). The Giants had a great 2022 season and did nothing but add weapons to this team in the offseason. I think New York has a great chance to snap Dak Prescott's 10 game winning streak against them. Give me the +3.5 at home for the New York Giants.
We have not seen Matthew Stafford in a real NFL game, regular or preseason, since November 2022. He makes his return and who is he throwing the ball to? Cam Akers had a solid start to the season, but he isn't a running back who can carry a team. Give me Seattle laying the 5 at home.
Rookie head coach? Rookie QB? Going up a team that is trending in the right direction, with a MVP caliber QB? I don't really care that the Colts have failed to win a week 1 game in the previous 8 seasons, but they are going to have to wait until 2024 to break that streak. Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars should be able to take care of business and cover the 4.5 points in Indy.
Butler has his this number in all three games against the Celtics, as well as 5 of his last 6 games. I think he will continue to facilitate the ball tonight against Boston. I would shop around this line, but I think he will certainly have 6+ assists.
Jokic has hit this number (42.5) in 7 of his previous 9. Nearly 9 of 9, putting up 42 points/rebounds in the two games that he did not surpass 42.5. He put up 55 combined points/rebounds against the Lakers in Game 1, so I expect him to be able to hit this lower number tonight in Game 2.
Joker has hit this number in 4 of his last 5 playoff games, I expect him to make it 5 of 6 tonight against the Lakers. He hasn't played great statistically against LA in the regular season, but folk we are talking playoffs and I expect him to show up in a big way tonight for Game 1.
