Raptors forward Chris Boucher is a role player who maximizes every minute he is on the floor. He’s only averaging 17.5 minutes over his last 10 games but is still scoring at a high rate. In fact, he’s coming off a 14-point outing against the Clippers. Boucher should have an advantage against the Lakers reserves Friday as he put in 16 against them on Dec. 7. Play his Over.

Schroder has stepped up nicely for LA but he will be heading to the bench tonight with D'Angelo Russell returning to the lineup. My projections have him logging 25 minutes compared to the 31 MPG he's averaged this season. Schroder is averaging just over 20 combined PRA and this number feels more in line if he were starting and slated to play 30-32 minutes. This is a tough match up as well against a Raptors squad that are top 10 in Defensive Rating and bottom 10 in PACE. Toronto has allowed the sixth fewest points to opposing PGs this season. This is a good spot to fade Schroder who is unlikely to play 30 minutes as he adjusts to his new role coming off the bench.
This will mark the conclusion of a five-game road trip for the Raptors. They went 1-3 over the first four games and are just 12-22 on the road for the season. The Lakers are 7-3 over their last 10 games and are the healthiest that they have been in awhile with Anthony Davis (foot) and D’Angelo Russell (ankle) both listed as probable. With how poorly the Raptors have played on the road, the Lakers’ improved health situation should help propel them to a victory.
Friday game. Maybe Anthony Davis doesn't need LeBron James? AD has been an absolute monster of late and he'll get some help on Friday with the return from injury of D'Angelo Russell. The Raptors are at the end of a five-game trip and have been in Los Angeles since Tuesday night (lost to the Clippers on Wednesday). Yeah, that many nights in LA can be a bit distracting for visiting players. Somehow, Toronto has won seven straight as the road team in this series. That ends Friday. And don't expect Fred VanVleet to get a single call from the refs after he went nuclear on one following Wednesday's game. There were more F bombs in his post-game rant than in the Big Lebowski (sadly, no Donny mentions by Freddy V, though). It was actually quite entertaining and probably mostly accurate, but that will be costly.
