Embiid came back in Game 3 and the Sixers rode the emotion and defensive uptick he provided. Miami is a better team. Harden isn't providing enough scoring and now Miami has a Kyle Lowry game under its belt. He'll be big in Game 4 and the Heat will re-take control of the series.
Just about everything went wrong on the offensive end for the Heat in Game 3. Jimmy Butler scored 33 points, but their other four starters combined to score just 22 points. They shot 35.1 percent from the field as a team, including 23.3 percent from behind the arc. The 76ers were the exact opposite, shooting a robust 48.5 percent from deep. As things normalize for Game 4, I think the Heat can win, so give me the points.
See, I don't ALWAYS take favorites (as I pick a favorite): Won on Sixers at +3.5 for Game 3 as I correctly predicted that Joel Embiid would play. Go ahead and disregard the official NBA injury report in the playoffs. There's a reporting deadline by the league and that's why he was first listed as out. Obviously will play today and obviously Philly is way better with him. Not exactly breaking news here.
