This has ticked down to +5 at some books with Duncan Robinson cleared for the Heat -- I was passing on this game if he was out. I don't think it can be overstated how much the loss of Robert Williams will hurt the Celtics on defense and the boards. Miami has not looked great of late, but I have to trust this veteran team and Coach Erik Spoelstra, and the Heat are about as healthy as they have been all year with Victor Oladipo even playing these days.
The Celtics received the tough news that Robert Williams (knee) will be out for the rest of the regular season. However, they are still one of the best teams in the league at home, and should have Al Horford back to help their frontcourt. The Heat are 3-5 over their last eight games with their only wins coming against the Pistons, Thunder and Kings. They lost all five of their games against winning teams during that stretch, and each loss was by at least seven points. Look for the Celtics to deal them another lopsided defeat.
Miami's 123-100 win Monday over the Kings ended a tailspin in which the Heat had gone 2-5 SU and 0-7 ATS. Boston, meanwhile, comes off a hard-fought overtime loss in Toronto, on Monday, with the Celtics covering for the sixth time in seven games. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Al Horford did not play against the Raptors but all are probable tonight. Boston has destroyed the Heat in both meetings this season, winning by 30 and 17. Even without Robert Williams, I like the Celtics to cover at home in a game with massive playoff implications.
