The Rangers had so much go wrong for them offensively last season and are due a season-long bounce back. I'm not worried about Garrett Crochet going too deep in the game. The Red Sox also look like a high-powered offense and I'm not worried about Nathan Eovaldi dominating them. Both bullpens can be hit, too.
Great pitching matchup here and nice price to go with it at u4 (-105). This should be -120 on u4.

I'm all over Crochet this year. He has nasty stuff and I like backing pitchers who have a good cutter early in the year while many hitters are still rounding onto form. Crochet's 12.9 strikeouts per nine innings pitched would’ve been the best in baseball last season if he threw enough innings to qualify, but the White Sox load managed him later in the year. He also had 30 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings in spring training. Over 6.5 is a little juicy at -150 but I think that price will go up closer to Thursday.
Both teams should be in the playoff hunt all season long. Garrett Crochet makes his debut for Boston against 35-year-old Nathan Eovaldi. The leading Cy-young candidate for the Red Sox has allowed zero extra-base hits, holding the Rangers' current roster to a .595 OPS in 18 at-bats. The Red Sox have 11 extra-base hits with a .769 OPS in 84 at-bats against Eovaldi. Crochet's stuff+ of 113 was much higher than Eovaldi's +100 last season. This is a great price, considering the significant difference in the pitching matchups.
