I'm a believer in this Cam Ward led offense for Washington State and I'm quite impressed with that they've done already this season. The Cougars have impressive wins against Wisconsin and Oregon State while the Bruins have played an extremely soft schedule other than their loss to the Cam Rising-less Utes. I'll take the points for Washington State, but I'm not sure they'll need them.
This will be the best defense Washington State has faced yet. The Bruins defense is only allowing 11 points per game and while Washington State’s defense is allowing 25.5 points per game. This will only be the Wildcats second road game of the season and the UCLA defense should be ready.
The Cougars are coming off of a bye week to visit the unranked Bruins. The Cougars are 10-1 in their last 11 conference games vs unranked opponents. The Bruins are not a good team. They are solid defensively but they are terrible offensively. Cameron Ward is amazing and should make this Bruins defense look like a high school team. Take the Cougars.
The Cougars have quietly emerged as a threat in the top-loaded Pac-12, with a resume that includes impressive home wins over Wisconsin and Oregon State. UCLA is looking to bounce back off a bye following a grueling 14-7 loss at Utah two weeks ago. The Bruins need this one to avoid the threat of finishing in the bottom half of the conference, with visits to Oregon State and USC still on their ledger. Freshman QB Dante Moore has been a bit erratic but also has shown promise. Look for a potential breakout game from Moore and an inspired effort from the Bruins.
Last meeting for a long time between these schools with UCLA off to the mega-rich Big Ten and Wazzu searching for a cardboard box to share with Oregon State. Real shame for those two schools. If this were in Pullman, different pick for sure as the Cougars already have two excellent wins there, but their only road game so far was a month ago at a bad Colorado State team. WSU also will be without top wideout Lincoln Victor (24/342/3).
