NC State has won eight straight and covered six in route to making the NCAA tournament. Five wins in five days won the ACC Tournament. It was the only chance they had to make the NCAA Tournament. Eight straight including wins over Duke and North Carolina. They are trying to be the fifth team from 11th seed to make the final four. They're playing confidently and they're not turning the ball over. I'm going to ride the hot streak of NC State.

Take the buy low spot on this. Both teams have been putting up unusually low three point percentage and its time to regress back up. NC State has gotten decently lucky so far with Texas Tech and Marquette, who both were missing wide open threes throughout their matchups. I think their luck could run out with this Duke offense. On the year, both teams average above this number (NC State 149, Duke 145). I think this line should be closer to 145, but because of the recent low three point shooting, we're getting an opportunity to buy low.

Reminders of 1983 and the magical March run by Jim Valvano's Wolfpack are hard to ignore with this NC State squad that has emerged from nowhere with eight straight wins and now one step from its first trip to the Final Four since. At the ACC Tourney, Duke was one of the victims in the recent surge when the Wolfpack guards (led by 18 points from D.J. Horne) outplayed their Blue Devil counterparts. Duke did beat NCS on March 4, but that was before the recent Pack surge, and the Blue Devils count themselves very fortunate to be here after Houston's star Jamal Shead went out early in Friday's Sweet 16 matchup. NC State knocked out the Blue Devils in the ACC tournament. Many may say that Duke got lucky in their previous game with Jamal Shead going down with an ankle injury. However, they were still able to go toe-to-toe and defeat a very physical Cougars team with one of the top defenses in the country. Duke’s defense has really stepped up as they allowed the fewest points to their opponents thus far in the tournament. The Blue Devils won the lone regular season game by 15-points and have the bigs down low and guards to match up.
