The Bucs are in a precarious spot sitting at 5-5 with a trio of opponents that will test them next month. If Tampa Bay hopes to make the playoffs, it must win games like this against teams with defenses as porous as the one Cleveland will put on the field Sunday. The ailing Bucs running game should get lift against these browns, particularly with Rachaad White getting a full freight of carries as Leonard Fournette is sidelined. Tom Brady is 8-3 ATS on the road coming off a bye in his career, and Tampa Bay hopefully used that extra time to figure out what is ailing them on both sides of the ball. This line is headed to -4 before kickoff, so get in at a field goal while you still can.
The NFC South-leading Bucs have turned their season around and, coming off a bye, look primed for a late-season run. Their defensive front is healthy, which will help them slow down Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski -- who is 3-7 owing to multiple heartbreaking losses and a defense giving up 26.9 points per game -- is trying to sidestep questions about whether he's going to fire defensive coordinator Joe Woods or special teams coach Mike Priefer. Bucs rookie running back Rachaad White (22 carries, 105 yards in Week 10 vs. Seattle) has given Tampa Bay the backfield spark it needed. Lay the points.
Jacoby Brissett is coming off a great game against the Bills defense, but with this being the last game before Deshaun Watson's suspension is up, I'm not sure how focused the offense is going to be against a Bucs defense that was excellent in two games before the bye and should be primed for a strong stretch run. The Bucs offense is first in sack rate and interception rate, so the Browns defense can't count on big plays putting a premature end to drives by an offense that was trending upward before the bye and should be as healthy as it's been all year. The Bucs have a great chance of winning this game, and I love we only have to lay three in that situation.
