Was only playing this if Alvin Kamara was active for New Orleans. He is. Jameis Winston was technically in question too but never really a doubt about his availability. I seriously think Matt Rhule is a goner if the Cats lose this game.
Last weekend the Giants offense tried their best to give the Panthers an opportunity to win the game, but Carolina's offense was just as pedestrian as the Giants were on Sunday. New Orleans defense is one of the stingiest in the NFL and pose significant problems to a Panthers offense, more in particular to QB Baker Mayfield, in terms of pressure. Baker isn't Tom Brady and won't get rid of the football quickly enough to beat the Saints pressure. Look for this to be a get right game for both the Saints defense and QB Jameis Winston.
This will be the first game outdoors for the majority of the Saints' roster since last year. Carolina should have a lot of confidence, knowing it beat New Orleans 26-7 as a 3-point home dog in Week 2 last season. The Panthers outgained New Orleans 383-128 with Sam Darnold under center. New Orleans has allowed 10 sacks in two games and will be without its starting left tackle. Carolina is 4-0 against-the-spread in Week 3 over the past four years. New Orleans is 1-3 straight-up after playing Tampa Bay the last two seasons. The underdog is 12-4 ATS in the past 16 meetings. The Saints play the Vikings in London next week. Take the home dog!
