Understanding Public and Money
Tomorrow is of course April 1, so this will be my last game playing two NBA teams this season that are trying to lose if I am completely wrong here. April Fool's Day is usually my cutoff date in that regard. But the Jazz really seem to be trying harder tonight with nearly everyone out of note. The Hornets are comically short-handed too led by LaMelo Ball, but at least Miles Bridges and Mark Williams are in there -- obviously my concern being that they aren't in there very long. So that's why I'm gonna try the first-half moneyline because I do know they are starting at least (as of now anyways). I can't recall playing a first-half ML previously.
The Jazz have ruled out Lauri Markkanen (knee) and Walker Kessler (rest) for this game. With both players out Friday against the Nuggets, Kyle Filipowski scored 18 points over 34 minutes. Over his last eight starts, Filipowski has scored at least 16 points seven times. With plenty of minutes likely coming his way against another tanking team in the Hornets, the over is the way to go here.
