This is a big number for Chet Holmgren who is unlikely to play heavy minutes in a game with serious blowout potential. I have a hard time seeing both the Sixers being competitive or the Thunder pushing Chet who has had durability issues, in a meaningless game.

To be clear, Chet Holmgren probably could hang 40 on the JV Sixers tonight but I can't imagine my second favorite Chet -- after the memorable Bill Paxton character in "Weird Science" -- plays even 30 minutes with his injury history and OKC on cruise control the rest of the RS (and sitting several others). Holmgren averages 15.0 PPG on the season. Get him 25 minutes for conditioning and out.
Some odd dynamics tonight in OKC. Note the near-reserve Thunder lineup...no SGA, no Jalen Williams, no Lu Dort. maybe no Isaiah Hartsentein. Yet the last time OKC sat so many starters, the Thunder cruised by Portland 107-89 on March 7. Everyone on Mark Daigneault's team plays defense; ask the Blazers, just 34.7% FGs and 18.6% triples that night. Another curiosity tonight; the Thunder holds the Sixers' first-round pick that is top-six protected. Philly enters effectively tied with the Raptors and Nets for fifth-worst record in the league; twisted logic suggests OKC could benefit by losing, except that the Thunder is waging war with Cleveland for best record. Added up, and all things considered, clearing 230 looks a tall order. Play Sixers-Thunder Under
