This is just what the Magic needed, a tune-up against the team they have won seven in a row against, the Wizards. The Magic are healthy, rested, and getting back on track close to last year's version and were on the brink of three straight wins when Memphis pulled out of 105-104 victory but the Magic still covered. They should be able to write their own score against the Wizards who lost all five on the recent homestand. The Wizards shoot only 43.9% from the field which is 29th in the NBA and they've got four wins on the road all season. Magic do some covering.

The Magic just haven't played nearly well enough - no matter the opposition - to be laying this many points. They have two double-digit wins since Dec. 1. Perhaps they sorted a few things out before the break, but I still have serious concerns, even at home, about scoring enough. WIZ are better after shedding dead weight at deadline. Have covered 7 of 8 and only non-cover was a back-to-back, where they stink. They have one loss over 10 points in that span. For a horrible covering team much of year, Wiz are 5-4 ATS in division and 16-14-1 vs East. Wiz score 119+ in 5 of last 7 games. Running even more with younger lineups. Magic 11-17-1 ATS after a loss. Not so resilient.
