Jared McCain is having a tremendous rookie season seemingly out of no where for a 76ers squad that is reeling and shorthanded. McCain has only eclipsed this line 1x all season long and I think against a Houston team is excellent defensively, in addition to surrendering the fewst APG to opponents, this is a good way to fade the talented rookie tonight. Id also play under u7.5 RA.
Yes, the Rockets went to the well in their rousing overtime win at Minnesota last night, but to this point they've been light years ahead of the Sixers. Philly is not just losing; it looks to be coming apart internally, as Joel Embiid's recurring absences and immaturity level are now impacting the organization that also isn't getting much from Paul George, who has also missed considerable action. Both are supposed to once again sit out, suggesting that improving on an NBA-worst 2-14 record won't happen soon enough. Meanwhile Houston is 13-6 and has a winning record on the road (5-3) this season. I'm on the Rockets.
The 76ers are garbage and I'm enjoying the heck out of it. However, this feels like Trap City for Houston off a wild 117-111 overtime win in Minnesota on Tuesday night. I have no idea how much the NBA Cup matters to players, but that victory basically clinched the group for the Rockets too. Fred VanVleet, Alperen Sengun and Dillon Brooks all played a minimum of 41 minutes. I'll bet at least FVV gets this game off after 45. No Joel Embiid or Paul George for the Sixers, I am aware. Maybe catering to those wimps is the entire problem for this franchise -- but this doesn't get played if Houston isn't in the situation it is less than 24 hours later.
