The Jazz showed some life during an extended road trip but have some serious defensive issues and could have weary legs in first game back. They are 0-4 at home and 1-3 ATS, losing those three by 17 or more points. They have allowed 113+ in 3 of 4 home games. Suns are winning a ton, just not covering, but they are too good to play nothing but close games all season, and they are talented and deep enough to win this by three possessions without playing close to perfect defense to do it.

Phoenix comes off a hard-fought OT loss in Sacramento on Sunday night in its first game without Kevin Durant (who is out a few weeks), and starting center Jusuf Nurkic lasted only 15 minutes before leaving injured and is in major doubt tonight. It's also the start of a road trip and front end of a B2B. Utah is healthy and has been off since Saturday. Not a very good team thus far and the league's only winless team at home (0-4) but a lot seems to break well here.

With Kevin Durant out, Devin Booker is going to fire away at will. We won him Under 29.5 points on Sunday vs. the Kings sans Durant simply as Book struggled from the field, especially at 3-for-10 from deep. If he gets another 10 attempts tonight, I feel pretty good. For one thing, Utah can't defend much (although I might play Jazz ATS depending on Jusuf Nurkic's status for PHX) and secondly, Booker is averaging 3.5 made 3-pointers at 43.8% on the road compared to 2.0 made 3s at 24.5% at home. The model has him at 3.1 made 3s.
