Doc Rivers is putting Damian Lillard in more positions to do what he did in Portland with a spread floor and higher pick and rolls. I think he gets hot down the stretch, and it starts with a big game against a Warriors team facing the always tricky first game back home after a road trip.
Who needs Giannis? The Bucks didn't on Monday when beating the Clips minus the Greek Freak (Achilles strain), whose status for tonight at Chase Center is likely a game-time decision. Giannis or no Giannis, however, and a six-game win streak for Doc Rivers, this nonetheless looks a bad time for Milwaukee to be catching the Dubs after they were napalmed on Sunday in Boston, worse even than the final 52-point margin suggests. Big efforts have ensued from Steve Kerr's bunch immediately after the last four defeats, and remember that Golden State had been one of the NBA's hottest teams into Sunday, winning and covering 11 of 13. Play Warriors
This is a low number for Draymond who averages 21.9 PRA, however he is averaging a combined 23.3 over his last 15 games. Green has gone over in 10 of his last 12 games. The Warriors will face a Bucks team that plays at the sixth fastest pace and is the definition of a neutral matchup. The Warriors got humiliated in their last outing against the Celtics and was arguably the worst loss of Steph's career. I expect the team to respond and a much better effort tonight and we're getting a sizable discount on Draymond's combo line. Look for the ball to be in his hands quite a bit and for Draymond to set the tone offensively.
Haven't caught a break in the NBA since Friday and I've quite liked each game I've played since then ... still in utter disbelief these Bucks rallied from down double digits Monday without Giannis to beat the Clippers. I don't know if Giannis plays (questionable) tonight but know this ML would not be playable if he does sit again. Khris Middleton is still out. Golden State will get Andrew Wiggins and Brandin Podziemski back tonight from multiple-game absences and has its entire roster available for the first time in months. Feel like a little more motivation for the Dubs after being thoroughly embarrassed on Sunday in Boston, but at least they are well-rested off that.
