Orlando plays at the slowest pace in the league thus far. The Clippers just traded away a bunch of players for James Harden. I doubt this will be a fast-paced game with Los Angeles having a limited roster and don’t want players to get injured before figuring out how this team will be assembled once Harden arrives.
Orlando has covered in each of its first three games and should be very competitive with a Clippers team that just traded a lot of its depth. The Magic play slowly and lead the NBA in defensive rating, two factors that should keep this game tight.
We'll see how this James Harden acquisition plays out for the Clippers; looks like more potential downside to us, and maybe not the best thing for Russell Westbrook, who does reunite with his old OKC teammate but now a potential disruptor to the revival of Westbrook's career with the Clips. In any event, the Magic looks much improved and has controlled the tempo in all three of its games, each landing on the under side, including last night here at Crypto.com vs. the Lakers. Play Magic-Clippers Under
I haven't dabbled in the NBA yet, but I can't ignore this spot after seeing last night's James Harden trade. The Clippers already short-handed with some injury issues have shipped off some of their depth for James Harden and PJ Tucker, neither of whom will play tonight. That leaves the Clippers short-handed going up against a Magic team that lost a hard fought game against the Lakers last night, but at least get the benefit of staying in the same building on a back to back. This is too many points under to give under these unusual circumstances.
