The Celtics made a big trade to acquire Derrick White from the Spurs on Thursday, adding another excellent defender to a team that already has the third-best defensive rating in the league. It’s uncertain if he will be cleared to play in time for this game, but even if he isn’t, the Celtics have won eight of their last nine games, with seven of those victories coming by at least nine points. Add in Monte Morris (concussion) being out for the Nuggets and I like to Celtics earn another decisive victory.

I don't like picking games this early but won't be around this evening, and I'm starting to see some movement here so let's get it now. Boston is playing as well as anyone in the NBA right now on a six-game winning streak and just dominating defensively. Not clear yet if trade acquisition Derrick White will debut in this one. Denver was quiet at the trade deadline but won't have starting point guard Monte Morris (12.6 ppg, 4.3 apg) due to concussion. I could see the Nugs covering this spread but I don't see them winning. I may play this with a college hoops game or another sizable NBA favorite TBA.
